Bad Economy?

In the span of less than 3 weeks, three new bars (SugarMill Hotel, Kit and Kaboodle, Eye Bar), two new eateries (Hunky Dory, JD Dogs, and a dress garage (not sure if there's a name but it is literally a garage space) opened for business in my neighborhood. They are all within 10 minutes walk of my place. Not to mention, the word on my shoe cobbler's street is construction has started on supposedly a two level retail complex. I haven't even mentioned the frou frou dress shop, way frou frou plastic-ware shop, and way too healthy frozen yogurt shop that is practically next door. That complex hasn't even fully sold out yet. I can't wait to see what business moves in as long as it's quiet and not a bar...although that may not be so bad. I've never lived next door to one, could be good?

Besides the obvious new places, a walk through the neighborhood has never gone unrewarded. My latest find is a vietnamese place that sells pho (upside down question mark) near home! Woohoo! At $10 AUD a bowl, it's actually cheaper than American prices. I can't wait to try it out.
