Hanky Panky?

Just a quickie on the hanky usage out here. I always thought handkerchiefs were something old British gentlemen carried and used. However, in the past week I have seen contemporary males whip out their hankies to wipe their forehead or blow their nose. Baggy clothes are not exactly the rage here, in fact, snug is in for even the non-metrosexuals, so where do they keep these hankies? More importantly, I hope I never get offered one because that is pretty dang gross.
